Mmm... from a blunt, unsympathetic perspective? I'd say you're simple and slow, but in a relatively normal way.

Not sure if that makes it easier or harder.

But you still feel miserable at the same time.

It's definitely tricky. About the only thing that might help is to get through school, preferably one where you're away from your parents so you have more freedom, if that's possible, but after that, you'd probably want to get married, and have your own home. It'd be easier to balance happiness and family with some distance.
