Strange. Is it normal to think you'll turn into another person if you change your hair?

Mother and Father said I seemed dimmer than usual.

... Change your hair? It's... Not a general thought, though I guess it would apply to changing your personal image...

[identity profile] the8thmonarch.livejournal.com 2010-01-24 10:21 pm (UTC)(link)
And my mind, too. It feels like it would if I changed my hair.

[identity profile] observershikou.livejournal.com 2010-01-25 12:01 am (UTC)(link)
... Generally, in a normal stance, it's not the case.

If it were so, than many people would suddenly "change", if they got something such as a haircut. However, I guess if one were to believe that enough...

[identity profile] the8thmonarch.livejournal.com 2010-01-25 12:36 am (UTC)(link)
... Then I shouldn't get a hair cuit.

[identity profile] observershikou.livejournal.com 2010-01-25 01:14 am (UTC)(link)
... I can't really say anything about that, but... Do you know why you think that?

[identity profile] the8thmonarch.livejournal.com 2010-01-25 03:19 am (UTC)(link)
It alters how you look, and how you look determines how you act.

[identity profile] observershikou.livejournal.com 2010-01-25 03:31 am (UTC)(link)
How you act, maybe, but it doesn't change who you are. It's... Common sense.

[identity profile] observershikou.livejournal.com 2010-01-25 04:44 am (UTC)(link)
But how one acts isn't mainly focused on the physical... But I guess there's no point in arguing beliefs, such as that.

[identity profile] the8thmonarch.livejournal.com 2010-01-25 04:55 am (UTC)(link)
... Agreed, there is no point arguing.

[identity profile] observershikou.livejournal.com 2010-01-25 05:37 am (UTC)(link)
... Which has me ask. Dimmer?

[identity profile] observershikou.livejournal.com 2010-01-25 05:56 am (UTC)(link)
... Ah. Maybe you just... Need to learn more?

[identity profile] the8thmonarch.livejournal.com 2010-01-25 06:11 am (UTC)(link)
... I guess, but I thought I was learning well.

[identity profile] observershikou.livejournal.com 2010-01-25 06:25 am (UTC)(link)
Maybe you are, but maybe the information just... Isn't being shown fast enough.

[identity profile] observershikou.livejournal.com 2010-01-25 06:51 am (UTC)(link)
... What I mean to say is, you're being a bit slow on the uptake and responses. Which might be why you seem "dimmer" to them.

[identity profile] the8thmonarch.livejournal.com 2010-01-25 07:21 am (UTC)(link)
... Weird.

[identity profile] adaptiveally.livejournal.com 2010-01-25 12:40 pm (UTC)(link)
...That is very odd.

[identity profile] adaptiveally.livejournal.com 2010-01-25 12:44 pm (UTC)(link)
The conversation you had above. I suppose it would not be out of possibility to say that appearance has a profound effect on behavior, and vice-versa, but it is strange.

[identity profile] the8thmonarch.livejournal.com 2010-01-25 12:46 pm (UTC)(link)
Strange? I think it makes complete sense.

[identity profile] adaptiveally.livejournal.com 2010-01-25 12:49 pm (UTC)(link)
In a way, I suppose it would. A drastic change in appearance would make one act in a different behaviors. But for it to seemingly affect things such as intelligence is very strange, to me.

Generally though, it wouldn't make you a completely different person. You are who you are.

[identity profile] the8thmonarch.livejournal.com 2010-01-25 12:57 pm (UTC)(link)
You are defined by how you look, I have surmised.

[identity profile] adaptiveally.livejournal.com 2010-01-25 01:05 pm (UTC)(link)
...Some people can think that, but I personally disagree. While people will expect you to act a certain way if you dress a certain way, your personality is your own, and can be anything based on any number of things. What you like to do and what kind of person you are, nice, cruel, etc. can determine how people think of you.

[identity profile] the8thmonarch.livejournal.com 2010-01-25 01:07 pm (UTC)(link)
What people think of me determines what I like, what I do, and what not.

[identity profile] adaptiveally.livejournal.com 2010-01-25 01:12 pm (UTC)(link)
...Again, I disagree. Only you can determine who you are and what you do. Relying on other people's opinions of you to determine your life does not seem... truthful?

[identity profile] adaptiveally.livejournal.com 2010-01-25 01:28 pm (UTC)(link)
I guess what I'm saying is... what is constant about you makes you who you are.

So.. who are you?

[identity profile] the8thmonarch.livejournal.com 2010-01-25 01:36 pm (UTC)(link)
Wakahisa Noriko. My... friends... call me Moeko.

[identity profile] adaptiveally.livejournal.com 2010-01-25 01:46 pm (UTC)(link)
...Well, I would hope to become your friend, then. My name is Hengenjizai Satoru. Do you mind if I call you Moeko, as well?

[identity profile] adaptiveally.livejournal.com 2010-01-26 02:16 am (UTC)(link)
I am glad to get to know you then, Moeko-san.

[identity profile] the8thmonarch.livejournal.com 2010-01-26 02:25 am (UTC)(link)
Thank you, whoever you are.

[identity profile] adaptiveally.livejournal.com 2010-01-26 02:27 am (UTC)(link)
Hengenjizai Satoru. Just call me Satoru, Moeko-san.

[identity profile] the8thmonarch.livejournal.com 2010-01-26 02:42 am (UTC)(link)
... Alright, Satoru.
