Ah? I can't say I particularly blame them... it's not a pleasant realization to know you were manufactured, and thus can be replaced quite easily.

There's a certain longing for simplicity, but generally, you'd want to be how you are now, so you wouldn't just be a 'plaything'.

Still, people don't like thinking about the fact that they're playthings... and being a doll is like a permanent reminder of that.
