The blond girl keeps following that boy with the strange umbrella hair, carrying a sword. Why?

...Blond girl? I don't suppose you'd know names at all, would you?

I don't understand what a name is.

[identity profile] pureplainpatron.livejournal.com 2009-08-12 12:37 am (UTC)(link)
...well, at least you're specifying now.

A name, like yours. Moeko. It's... well, it's how people identify you as a person.

Shouldn't my face be enough?`

[identity profile] pureplainpatron.livejournal.com 2009-08-12 01:12 am (UTC)(link)
People can't exactly say your face. Nor can they write it.

Besides, people can look quite similar, so an extra identification is needed.

I do not understand the need of things beyond a face.

[identity profile] pureplainpatron.livejournal.com 2009-08-12 03:22 am (UTC)(link)
...I don't know what to tell you, since I just explained it.

It's just the way things are, alright? So get used to it.

[identity profile] the8thmonarch.livejournal.com 2009-08-12 06:16 am (UTC)(link)
They are dumb for needing things besides a face.

[identity profile] pureplainpatron.livejournal.com 2009-08-12 06:19 am (UTC)(link)
Not really... what if your face was altered? Would you stop being who you are, and become a completely unrelated person?

[identity profile] pureplainpatron.livejournal.com 2009-08-12 06:46 am (UTC)(link)
...I suppose for someone like you, who hasn't developed, it would seem that way.

But for most of us, we've developed over years and years of interaction, and have a distinct personality and history that define us far past just our face.

Not only that, but other physical features can be used to identify someone, in particular the fingerprints, which are, for the post part, completely unique to an individual.

[identity profile] the8thmonarch.livejournal.com 2009-08-12 07:16 am (UTC)(link)
The face is all that is important.

[identity profile] pureplainpatron.livejournal.com 2009-08-12 07:21 am (UTC)(link)
I beg to differ, but I suppose it's good that you at least have an opinion now.

Though, why are you so adamant about the face being so important?

[identity profile] the8thmonarch.livejournal.com 2009-08-12 07:29 am (UTC)(link)
Because it is most important because I decided it is so.

[identity profile] pureplainpatron.livejournal.com 2009-08-12 07:33 am (UTC)(link)
...interesting. And when did you develop this notion of deciding things for yourself?

[identity profile] pureplainpatron.livejournal.com 2009-08-12 08:01 am (UTC)(link)
Ah, I see.

Well, that's actually a good start, really. A good early coping mechanism for your lack of knowledge.

That said, you also need to know when assumptions you make are, in fact, wrong, and adjust your perceptions accordingly.

This, again, happens for everyone, so you aren't going to be alone in it.

[identity profile] pureplainpatron.livejournal.com 2009-08-12 08:40 am (UTC)(link)
...that's really not a very good reason, you know.

[identity profile] attackingicarus.livejournal.com 2009-08-12 09:32 am (UTC)(link)
She's gonna go crazy and start collecting people's faces.

Wanna put money on it?
